The Annual Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge, which will be held at Sandy Pt. State Park on January 24, 2009. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this event, participants take a very chilly (and very quick!) dip in the Chesapeake Bay in order to raise funds for the 10,000 athletes who compete in Special Olympics Maryland. Last year’s event attracted over 1,500 Plungers and raised more than $1,000,000 for the organization and BNI Maryland Members contributed $20,000. Our GOAL this year is to raise $25,000! We need your help!
